CEON Watch Co. is an atelier of independent watchmaking based in Brazil. It produces the GR-01 designed and finished by hand by engineer Ricardo A. Gracioli.
Gracioli is a turbine engineer by training who began the GR-01 in 2021 as a way to apply precision-manufacturing discipline to a single, considered object. The watch is presented as a tribute to the nameless innovators whose work made modern craft possible.
The watch is built from VC-150, a Brazilian-grade martensitic stainless steel originally used by him in steam turbine blades. After vacuum heat treatment, the material delivers the strength required for the 6mm thin profile and the ferromagnetic properties that enable the magnetic clasp. It houses the Peseux 7001, a 2.5mm Swiss hand-wound caliber developed in 1971.
