With the components for the GR-01 away for heat treatment, a rare stillness has settled in. This period of waiting is a joyful part of the process.
We often forget that our minds need the passage of time to structure everything that happens around us. Like a steady rhythm in a piece of music, a clear sense of time passing provides the framework for our experiences, our memories, and our sense of self.
A watch is much more than its gears and springs; it is the rhythmic beat that we need to orient ourselves. A small machine dedicated only to confirming that time is, indeed, moving forward, and that we are moving with it.
