While some components face the furnace, the dial endures its own trial. It begins with the cold precision of a laser, etching a texture to play with light. The surface is then submerged in acid, a process that transforms it, creating a shimmering, sandy finish.
This mesmerizing texture, however, is incomplete without the human hand. On the lapping plate, patience becomes motion. Stroke by stroke, the dial is polished to the brilliant shine needed to reflect time.
Each part of the GR-01 has its own history to share. Each has endured its own unique challenges to be brought into existence.
