On a New Era

August 8, 2025

With the end of the Second World War, the focus turned from function, necessity, and survival to a more enjoyable, prosperous, and optimistic era. The rise of the professional class brought with it a very specific dress code, and they felt freer to express themselves.

The “Jet Age”, thin and fast became a reference for design. From cars to watches, the slim profile was a symbol of taste and status, sparking a rush for thinner timepieces.

A friendly competition for the thinnest watch began. Piaget, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Vacheron Constantin were just some of the names that pursued it, and true engineering marvels were born from this time. They became a display of excellent craftsmanship.

That philosophy is the core of the GR-01. To achieve this profile, every component must be brought to its limits. It is an expression of engineering rigor, where there is no room for error.

This is the body of the watch, a spirit of a bygone era born from modern machinery. A glimpse of what is to come.
