Fire! The first important discovery of our species. It lit our nights, cooked our food and protected us from danger.
With Fire we forged steel, material used to this day in our tools, homes and machines. Fire took us further than ever imagined.
To represent human achievements through Mastery of Fire, I’ll make a timepiece with a special alloy, one used on steam turbine blades -VC-150- to withstand the stresses necessary for its workings.
It will be heated to +1000°C and quench it in oil to achieve the strength, rust- and scratch-resistance demanded by my design.
With such a strong foundation, we start our journey. And will keep building on it next week.
